I got this number requesting personal information via pre-recorded dialing services claiming that they were attempting to assist low income people on their PG&E bill. They were only interested in discussing certain kinds of aid so I had a bad feeling about it from the start. The phone call ended abruptly so I called them back. I only got the pre-recorded voice again. Also, they only wanted to discuss certain types of income such as SSI and other types of financial aid. I didn't feel that it was a good call since it came from Palo Alto and they did identify themselves thoroughly. The were most certainly not from Santa Clara PG&E even though they identified themselves as a Santa Clara County agency. The only thing they were looking to do was to obtain our personal income information. Watch out for this one since it seems very realistic and the last thing you want to do is give out any personal information to a debt collector.
