The Professional Fire Fighters Association (PFFALA) is conducting a fundraiser by phone. The fundraiser involves selling tickets for benefit concerts hosted by the PFFALA. The first show will take place May 4th, 2013 at the Pete Maravich Center on LSU Campus. These concerts will offer quality entertainment, available at a reasonable price and provide our supporters a fun night out for the whole family. The information confirming the concert can be viewed on the Pete Maravich website itself at www.maravichcenter.com then clicking the “Event Calendar” in the upper left of the page (http://ath-ems-serv.ath.lsu.edu/VirtualEMS/BrowseEvents.aspx).
In addition here are two newspaper articles regarding our fundraiser:

SCAM!!!!! This is a fraudulent company. They claim to be with the Professional Firefighters Association of Louisiana, but they are not associated with any firefighters. They are soliciting for funds for a concert that does not exist. Do not give them any money. If you try to call the phone number back, it will not go through. I tried to bait the criminal to call me back so I could have a detective on the phone to trace it, but he never called back.
DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!!!

SCAM. This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India!! There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will not be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities. Also, contact your Attorney General's office and file a complaint. Make them aware that this is happening in your state.
