yep, I did not get scammed because I do my due diligence on each caller who claims to be a store or distributor. He claimed to be a pet distributor and asked for pricng and samples. I never send samples unless we have a series of conversations and I see a website etc. I am now more aware than before that these scam artists are out there. Always ask for a website first. check out the website that it is active. google google google. By the way, he used michael Norman with me.

Thanks to your posts, I avoided this jerk.

He calls and asks for price list to a bogus email account it seems. He says he can sell to 350 mom and pop stores.

He called and said he represents about 350 Kosher food shops. I sent him some samples. Wish I had seen these complaints first.

Received a call from "Michael Norman" at Detroit Distribution, 16905 W. Twelve Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48076, Ph: 248-806-3450 (office) or 248-809-3617 ("direct line") asking for about 25 lbs of retail and bulk food samples to submit to Mom and Pop stores, etc. Very short "choppy" voice and presence re expectations. Based on above info we are not shipping to him.

tried to get free product from me, too. the whole conversation was suspicious

He just called me and asked if i sell to distributors. when I said no he hung up.

This guy calls our food manufacturing company every few months claiming he distributes to 300 restaurants, calls himself Michael Normal with Detroit Distributing. He never gets back to you when you ask about him actually ordering and is obviously scamming people. Do not send this con artist samples. Somebody should expose this guy.

Got a call from Michael Norman as well, he said same exact thing as other posters have stated, we aren't sending anything to this guy.

Michael Norman called our company this morning stating he represented 350 paper companies worldwide and was interested in distributing our products. I received all the information and looked on line. Thank goodness I did. He won't be getting a package from us!
