Scam called saying I was being sued for $1,000 from capital one never had a credit card from capital one expect debt card and it in good standing called capital one was told the same thing no credit card every been open and it a scam.

I believe this was a scam call, telling me that someone charged $1400 to my Amazon account for an iPhone11, in NY. Caller had a thick India accent, and wanted me to do all sorts of things on my computer, such as 'remote' web viewing, etc. I was unable to do that, as I couldn't understand him. He insisted if I didn't do that, the $1400 would come out of our bank account. Made no sense, since my Amazon account is Not linked to a bank account. Besides, no such charges showed up on my Amazon account. I hung up after several minutes, and dialed *69 on my landline, and the above number came up. Was I scammed? Probably.
