Called pretending to be relative (cousin). In Spanish, he made me guess what relative i was "talking" to and told me he was coming to town and to prepare for his arrival. I hung up when he kept insisting where i was.

Called pretending to be relative, and asking for money wire transfer.

A person speaking Spanish called claiming to be a relative and asking to be picked up at the airport. She had some information on my family so I thought perhaps it was legitimate. She kept insisting on getting my cell number which I did not give. Then, she called saying that she was stuck in Mexico and needed money to pay the tariffs on her expensive gifts she was bring. (This is why she wanted my cell so that she could call me while I was waiting at the airport, which did not happen). I finally called my relatives house to find that she was not traveling at which point the gig was up. When she called back I told her I was going to call the authorities to which she promptly hung up. A total scam against Spanish speaking people.

Acted as if they were family and wanted us to pick them up from the airport

Fake people making jokes ,making believe they are family members!!! Dont loose your time talking to them.
