Hung up/autocalled

I live in Montgomery where this area code and exchange numbers are identified as originating from. When you answer a call, there is a distinct pause period before someone comes on the line. A dead give-away as to telemarketing. Obviously, the "National Do Not Call List" is somewhat of a joke. At last count, this number was calling my home 3 times a day. I am contemplating getting a "live person" on the line and demanding that they remove my number from their caller list. I have tried this in the past with other companies and all they did was change their number so it would display differently. They have a real racket going and there is not much you can do to stop it. As the calls are computer generated, it does little good to just ignore the call. They will keep coming.

I am on the national Do Not Call List, but this number (a telemarketer) still calls daily.

On national do not call list but this number has called three times a day for 4 days now!
