Personal Information Stated in call (SSN)

I can't understand what the caller is saying just that They have a warrant for my arrest. I called my local police department and they assured me that this is a scam.

This person is calling stating they are with the NY Sheriff's station and he is the Sheriff Gary Thompson My friend this is a criminal offense...its called impersonating an officer. It is not legal - You do not speak English well but know this -pleading stupid is acceptable and punishable.

this person is calling over and over I can barely make out what he's saying. He calls himself Jay Thompson from NY DA's office saying I have a warrant in New York city and if I do not respond an officer will be at my door to arrest me. This happened to me in Dec of 2013 I have all documentation re: those calls. I reported it to Attorney Generals office in Illinois, New York State, Texas and California because my research traced the phone number 3 of those states and since I live in Ca I decided to include them. What did they do NOTHING>
