(417) 833 in Springfield, MO

called saying you need your computer cleared of virus. then they try and install software into your computer, so they can access your computer anytime.

They called me saying they are getting error messages on me and wanted info about my security on my computer.

they have called from 417-833-8296 saying they are licensed by microsoft. another company with the phone number 1-844-225-7729 called saying they are my phone support, which is a company I do have as my computer support. they knew everything about me..customer id, years of service, and tricked me into signing up for 2 years of service. there is either a rogue tech. out there or all associated with this scam.

Called 2 different times, gave different names, Microsoft

This is the 3rd call we received in a month. Last one at 7:30 on this Saturday morning! I have now blocked their number. They say they are the "Windows Company" and that there is a problem with our computer. When I said that I knew that Microsoft Corp owned Windows and did not initiate calls to individuals about their computer problems, the caller kept repeating their script. Same when I told them my computer was just fine. They finally hung up when I asked to speak to their manager and that I would report them as scammers.

Please enter comments here every day calls try to return call; not in operation,or disconnected? What with calls coming from non in use numbers?
