Picked up the phone and was bombarded with foul language

"Edward" said he was from Microsoft checking on trouble with my computer;said it was about to crash; had 65,000 warnings.I finally got him to say it was $200 for one year to clean up, I hung up.

did anybody else at this time have a run in with the possible don't websites for your girlfriend leaving you made on you or possibly escort services for working for one

They called 3 days in a row. Today I answered the phone and they said they were receiving calls that I was having problems with my computer. he asked me to turn on my computer. I hung up the phone.

Received a call from these guys, saying they represent Microsoft ant they were receiving a number of emails and texts from my computer reporting problems. They asked if it was running slower lately and if I have been seeing a number of errors. At that time, I was working on my wife's computer, running Windows Defender to wipe out a malicious virus that had somehow attached itself to it. At the mention of my running that application, they were very quick to get off the phone with me. The caller ID said they were from Ohio.

Caller is claiming to be representing Microsoft and is telling me that my computer is full of Virus' and Malware. They claim my PC is contacting them and that they can help clean my PC. Being an IT guy, I kept pressing them for information that they were not able to provide.

We received a few calls from this number before today but was not picking it up because it was not recognized as coming from any one we knew. Now that we were able to find out what they were saying we knew that it was not Microsoft representing company for them with a problem with your computer... Watch out people!!! It indeed is not who they say they are representing. Pass it along as soon as possible.... Thanks for this info. And site to report these things.

attempted to connect to my computer. http://geeksupportlive.com/digital-home-plan/ They almost had me, too. I asked him about the cost and he wanted to scan my computer first. He said he was part of Microsoft.
