Caller had called a political figures wife and caused irritation to her by using empty threats

A woman called and said she was from United Healthcare. I carry AARP medical supplement insurance through UHC. She asked for my birthdate and zip code, then told me that I had applied to change from plan F to plan G and that my premium would increase to $344/ month. I asked why the big increase and she said it was because on Jan.3,2017 my doctor had submitted a claim with a diagnosis of cancer. I was at the doctor on that day, but I DID NOT receive a cancer diagnosis. She said she would deactivate my application for planG. We called the doctors office and they didn't send a diagnosis of cancer to anyone. Then I called UHC and was told that nobody from UHC called me. She said ''tis number was not on of their phone numbers. So this was a fraudulent call and I am really upset. How can just anybody get into my private medical records? And then lie about what is there? Please look into this and shut them down!

I received a call from this number claiming they were a representative of United Healthcare, using my mother-in-laws name and asking to speak with her. When I advised I was her healthcare power of attorney, which UHC has on file, she advised she had no record of that and could not discuss anything with me and insisted she speak with my mother in law, who has dementia. I immediately called UHC using the number I have and was advised they do indeed have the POA on file and my name listed as the contact. My best guess is that this is a scam trying to get additional money out of the elderly by claiming to be their insurer. When I called the number back, from where the call originated, I received a message stating this number is designed to accept calls.....another red flag!

spoke with such a heavy accent (not Spanish, or Indian) asking for information regarding previous attempts to reach me. I never was contacted by this number before.

Over a week has called each day. We have not answered
