Verizon scam will text and say you have been a victim of fraud

"Text Only" message read "Hello??" I replied that I did not recognize the # asking who it was. They replied they were answering a craigslist post is inquired about. I asked which ad? They said the male pomeranian. I asked the location and the price. They said L.A. and did not mention a price. I then get an email with a code in it which is in a foreign language. I then get a message from them. 1st one: Did you get any code? 2nd one: Please reply with the code. 3rd one: Please give the correct code. I then asked what the code was for? No response. The only english I could read was "Google Voice" and the website which is https://goo.gl/UERgF7. I think they are hacking into the craigslist responses.
