(630) 690 in Wheaton, IL

They said my social security number had been used in a fraudulent action in Texas, so they were suspending my SS account. Yeah sure!

Pretending to be IRS office. Threating that an investigation is going to happen if I don't contact them at the (630) 690 2396 number.

Called at 6 in the morning

caller said the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us and to call 209-813-0138 immediately! Yeah right...I'll get right to it.

said he was with irs and was gonna sue---this spam has been alerted in our local newspaper

claimed to be from IRS stating they were about to file a lawsuit unless I called another number (253-336-5037)

Caller stated that he was from Microsoft, and that they were battling a 'network wide series of viruses.' He had a heavy Indian accent and was difficult to understand. He asked me to log onto my computer, so that I could provide him with bridge access in order to rectify the problem. I exercised my usual caution, and told him that I found the call unusual and dubious, and suggested that he e-mail me (if he has my phone number he MUST have my e-mail...right?) from Microsoft, with a number at Microsoft at which I could reach him before I would proceed any further. He became fairly aggressive and told me that this was the one and only time the Microsoft would be calling to fix the problem, and that if I refused, it would be my own problem! I ended the conversation there....called the number back to see what would happen...no answer! Then I googled the number and ended up here. Be warned...clearly a fraud attempt, and not by a criminal mastermind! If this moron can dupe you, you can't just fault him. It's hard to imagine being more stupid than this guy!!!

They have called my home several times asking questions about my computer. The male caller had a heavy East Indian accent making him difficult to understand. He gave the company name when asked, but I could not make it out. He hung up when I told him I would give him no money and no personal information. This was clearly a scam call.
