This is one of my regular nuisance callers. They come in on my cell phone. I wish I could block them with a click of a button. I have a warning for my anonymous neighbor (above). I wouldn't give "other" telephone numbers to an outfit like this. They can either sell or rent those numbers, or call you themselves. This is getting to be as ugly as the politics .....

Samsung SDS AME is what appears on my calling log. I called the the number back and an automated message identified the company as Venture Data. The message also says that they have an internal Do Not Call list that you can add your number to by going to www.VentureData.com. I went to their web site and found the company is a survey company located in Salt Lake City, UT. The have a button on the site that will take you to their "Policy Regarding Do Not Call Lists". The web page to which that takes you allows you to enter phone numbers you want to put on their internal Do Not Call list.

boiler room call, have to wait a few seconds for a person to come on line. Beware, it is spam

Called me while I was driving in heavy rain on a high-rise bridge at 1856 hours

This number called my cell phone. The ruse was "doing a survey." She first asked me if I was driving while taking the survey in order to, I guess, lure me into a false sense of "this is legitimate and she is concerned about my safety." She then asked me what state I was living in but the incoming number was in my same area code and so I told her that. She said that she couldn't tell where the call that she made to me was originating from [not her exact words] but that different cities have different area codes and what city did I live in? I told her that area codes were based on states and we were in the same one and then she hung up.

They hung up when call was answered
