Alex from Lake Forest IL called to say that someone was trying to take a mortgage out on our home and if we paid $10,000 he could help. I called local police, our city hall, assessor's office and the Federal Trade Commission to report this fraudulent extortion call. Also I reported call to the Lake Forest, IL Commerce Commission.

scammer claiming that a mortgage was taken out on my home. I've never had a mortgage. I called assessor's office to report fraud, called the FTC and filed a fraud complaint. I called the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce and let them know that this number is threatening to take away people's homes by forcing a buyout mortgage on them. Alex was the jerk that called me. I also called our local police and city hall to file a complaint.
