Caller advised she was calling from Medicare and asked that I throw away my Medicare card as they were issuing me a new one. I asked her to confirm she was calling from Medicare and not from an insurance company selling Medicare supplement plans. She confirmed she was calling from Medicare. I asked her to give me her telephone number and a Medicare security number than I could call and confirm her call was valid, she hung up.
