Called twice back to back. Spam call. Prank call?

They try to extort money out of you.

Caller wanted info regarding sales tax. This was obviously a telemarketer...grrr

Caller stated they were with the Center for Education Law, this New Jersey call center. They asked for one of our staff that used to hold a position. They had questions about our policy for Special Education and wanted to speak to the current person. I told them I would need to find out who is best to speak with them. When I looked up entities with that exact name, only one came up, they are in Oklahoma. There were many other similar names, worded differently that deal with Special Education.

This number keeps calling my desk asking to speak to our CFO. First - I do not just transfer any and all calls to our CFO. Second - they do not want to leave a message for the CFO or their assistant to call back. And Third - they won't give me any details informing me of what the call is about so I can possibly handle it for them. I have asked them to stop calling and they refuse to stop.

Continues to call and leave heavy breathing messages then hangs up
