I received a call from someone pretending to be from JP Morgan Chase and telling me that someone opened a checking account with my name and was now trying to send 2 transactions via Zelle $1,000 and $2,000. When I argued with her that 1 - no one who works at the bank identifies it as JP Morgan Chase they would simply say Chase and 2 - I don't have a Zelle account, then I asked her again who she was she repeated JP Morgan Chase. As I pushed back and became more aggressive with her she hung up on me. The phone number she called from is Chase's customer service phone number but she was a scammer using the number fraudulently. I confirmed with Chase that they are aware of the situation and some of their Customers have fallen for the scam. I phoned my bank and disconnected Zelle from any of my accounts and made sure that my credit was still in the locked position with Transunion, Experian and Equifax. These scammers are really something else and I feel sorry for anyone who falls for their nonsense.

Fake Chase Fraud contact. Included an employee's name and last four of checking account. Did not respond. Not a Chase Fraud number.

Received a text message from the legitimate Chase Fraud messaging system (it appeared within the saved texts I have that are actually FROM chase, verifying purchases). This scammer's text asking if we'd scheduled a transaction for x amount of dollars from account ending (had the correct last 4 numbers of our account). Asked me to reply YES or NO. I replied No and then I receieved another text saying my response couldnt be processed and to call and file a claim a 866-564-2262. Called Chase for a head check. Not an issue. and then got on here to check the number and saw all the comments about fraud. BEWARE! What's frightening is that this guy has the last 4 of our account number AND mentioned a dollar amount that was eerily close to a couple of transfers we'd made in the account over the last several days. Jesus. Hope this scumbag gets what's coming for him.

Complete FRAUD!! Tried to pretend to be from Chase and then "transfered" call and preteneded to be from Zelle.

SPAM call, guy should be arrested

Caller ID says "JP Morgan Chase" which it is NOT.

This phone number has called me several times, claiming to be from Amazon. This is a scam artist, watch out for them, very persistent.

some how they charged me for ??? - I was able to delete it ok...Then a $1.00 charge was added & I can not delete or make it go away -- holy cow

Pretending to be chase bank asking for confidential info I.e. Checking acct number etc. very persistent
