Typical boiler-room operation in which a person with a thick accent calls and tells me I won a free trip. I placed an ad on Craigslist, and I think they harvest numbers from there. Called me incessently, even though I'm on the Do Not Call list. I reported them.

They called twice in a few minutes but they hang up both times.

This number called my job saying that he needed to get a hold of me for possible fraud on my SSN. When I called this number the man on the phone said that he was an officer that had an affidavit and that my SSN had been flagged. When I started to ask him questions about my SSN he told me that he would contact my employer and inform them that I would be arrested. I called the local police department and while the officer was here he called the number and they man laughed at him and said that he would continue to do this and eventually succeed. After the officer left the man called me back and said that he would continue to call my job and get me fired because I called the police.
