A male call stating that he was from Osage county jail and had a detainee and I asked him what was the detainee's name and he repeated himself saying that there was a detainee and Osage county jail. When I realized that this was a scam, I hung up.

An elderly lady friend just received a call from this number. It is a differenct scam everyone needs to be aware of. A man with a 'heavy accent' wanted to help with some 'problems' on her computer. Unfortunately, she proceeded with the scam. I think she went to some web site and clicked on something that downloaded, at the very minium, a 'remote access' software because she could see him take control of her cursor, etc. He appeared to be wanting to sell her something, probably an anti-virus/spyware package. She does not have access to funds, so he did not get any money, but he did have access via remote software to her computer. I now have to go to her computer and run scans, look for spyware, etc.

has called on several occasions and won't stop, even though we have asked them to and are on the No Call list

Continue to get calls, even on Sundays. We are on the 'No Call' list.
