How do I access the National Do Not Call Registry?
Online at www.telemarketing.donotcall.gov
How does the National Do Not Call Registry work?
Since January 1, 2005, telemarketers and sellers have been required to search the registry at least once every 31 days and drop from their call lists the phone numbers of consumers who are registered. The dedicated, fully automated and secure Web site at www.telemarketing.donotcall.gov provides this information to telemarketers and sellers.
When an organization accesses the system for the first time, it will have to provide some identifying information, such as Organization Name and Address, assign an Authorized Representative, and provide the Representative's Telephone Number and Email Address to create a profile. If an organization is accessing the registry on behalf of a Client (Seller), the organization may need to identify the Client (or Clients).
The only consumer information organizations are able to access from the national registry is a registrant's telephone number. Consumers' phone numbers are sorted and made available by area code. Each organization accessing registry data may be required to pay an annual fee based on the number of area codes the company accesses.
On subsequent visits to www.telemarketing.donotcall.gov, organizations can download either a complete updated list of numbers from their selected area codes or a more limited list that shows additions or deletions since the last download. They can also use an Interactive Phone Number Search Feature that is designed to allow small volume callers to comply with the Do Not Call requirements of the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) without having to download a potentially large list of all the registered telephone numbers within a particular area.
A consumer who receives a telemarketing call despite being on the registry can file a complaint with the FTC, either online or by calling a toll-free number. Violators could be fined up to $16,000 per incident.

I've been getting their calls for weeks now at my business, which forwards to my cell after hours, with calls coming in several times a day, mostly in the afternoon, through the evening. The content of the calls (or lack thereof) is the same as stated above.
Today, I had about an hour and a half drive in the evening, and decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. Instead of listening to news or music, I decided to call them non-stop until I got to my destination. I muted my end as the call started, and just pestered the snot out of them for the entire drive.
At first, there was no answer, so I just let it ring. Then, they started to answer, asking for my first name. But, with no response, they just hung up after a while. Of course, I immediately called back.
After many calls, they put me on hold immediately after picking up. So, I would hang up, and immediately call back again.
I ended up getting about five different people maximum, but it could have been as few as three, as I did recognize the same voices, using different "tones" on several calls. It appeared that I got some supervisor type at some point, who seemed to become very exasperated, as time began to creep very slowly forward for him. I just gave him the same treatment, and continued this for the entire trip. I kept getting the same people, in random order. I could tell that every once in a while, the line staff would probably scream for a supervisor, and I would get the pleasure of torturing them for a while.
It was very satisfying and comical on my end. The stress, dissatisfaction and exasperation on their end was palpable, and I must admit that I enjoyed it immensely. The best point was when one male said after about an hour and fifteen minutes, "Stop" in a quite pathetic and quiet voice, with nothing else said.
Paybacks are a you-know-what. I will do this again if they call, and encourage all others to do the same. They obviously have a small staff in the evenings, and you can make an impression if you wish. Don't be a faceless victim!

They have called my business on both lines simultaneously at 4pm EVERY DAY. I pick up one line (which I see on the Caller Id is this #), then put the other line on hold (which is also them). Both lines never answer, always hangs up. Today I had enough, I finally called back and the rude ***** refused to give me the name of their company.
Me: What is the name of your company?
Her: We're a Data Service Provider for Google.
Me:...okay, and the name of your company?
Her: We provide placement for Google--
Me: No, that's not what I asked. I don't care what service you have to offer.
Her: Well we are a data service prov--
Me: So the name of your company is Data Service Provider for Google?
Her: We've removed your number from our call list ...then she hangs up on me.
So I call back again and speak with a male who gives me what I need.
Company Name: MySupernova

This robocaller keeps asking to activate my Google Maps business listing. I don't have a business--haven't had since 2004.
PS--they got my phone number from a list they purchased from the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board years ago.
I've gotten this call a hundred times in 4 years, and I've asked them a hundred times to stop calling. But they KEEP CALLING.
