(202) 204 in Washington, DC

claims to be with the dept of justice but it's a fraud running a blackmail scam

This number showed up on my phone. Didn't recognize the number. Had gotten 2 calls from Washington DC, all different numbers. Thought it might be friends of the family that live there. Let it go in the answering machine. Went to to check the machine. Said nothing. Stayed on for a minute then hanged up.

left 3 messages as irs collector, and said Person would be arrested in 24 hrs.

had left 3 messages on my phone as an irs collector, threatened arrest in 24 hours and also left an account #.

NOT a debt collector! This is big time SPAM! Caller ID shows Harinder with DC # but it's foreigner SPAM!!!

Very aggressive call from this number posing as IRS case officer, then supervisor, then manager saying random audit found that my tax filings for certain years were under estimated/paid and indicating fraud. Said they sent letter 6 mos ago that was never responded to and that this was a "one time only" call to try to work out a deal or I would be arrested and either have to pay the $1986 in extra taxes + $9300 in penalties after court appearance or go to jail (said warrant already existed & with the Sheriff's dept.). Needed minimum $1000 in money order sent to them NOW to "get things started" and avoid court/jail.

Received phone call to call back to avoid legal action when called told me there was a warrant for my arrest

Said they were from the IRS and demanded money or I was going to jail.
