used by scam caller. On April 7, 2025, around 3:30 pm, pacific time, a Chinese-speaking male addressed himself as "Federal Communication Commission" officer "Allen Yang, FCC employee number FCC198003" reached out to me by calling my cell phone with phone number 202-345-9533, said an AT&T phone number with 971 area code was "applied by me at Xiamen International Airport AT&T service counter at March 21", which is a place I never went to. And "Officer Allen Yang," said this "971" number was used to "send spam calls and text messages of Bitcoin scam to the United States people." and "will affect my social welfare benefit and personal credit." All the conversation was conducted in Mandarin Chinese, and "Officer Allen Yang" also intended to let me draft legal documents for the FCC in Chinese rather than English and also intended to let me submit these documents and a "case number" (actually, he didn't understand the English term "case number") not only to the FCC email but also to the Chinese police authority. Then I realized it was a scam call and hang up the phone.

Caller ID stated it was Washington Dc but left no voice message. Probably Scam.

This is a scam. The caller is from India and no way is the US Government giving away free money. It just so happens the amount is just enough to keep from setting off alarms in the IRS.

A woman called saying because I am never late on paying my bills (which I occasionally am); that I have no bankruptcy in my past (which I do); and no criminal records in the past 6 months (that is true), that the US Treasury wants to give me $9,000. This is a scam. The US Treasury does not "give away" money. They are trying to get bank account numbers.

This man is from india and has a kik account under Brandon smith. He claims to be 30 years old. I have a picture of him as well. Im still collecting information. He works at a spam call center in india.
