Thats my wife phone number that I want to keep trucking

Called me on behalf of the LA COUNTY Sheriffs department

Texted and asked if Ive been vaccinated. I texted my answer back to them, believing they were from the state of California and I wanted to help out. That same afternoon, my sister received a text from a scam USPS, from same area code saying she had an iPad Pro in the mail but the label was destroyed and they needed more info to complete the delivery. My sister does not have an iPad coming in the mail. Her text came from (213) 379-4080 which is not the same number but the timing was suspicious. Ive received a second text, not identifying themselves from the same number above, asking further questions.
