i want these people to stop calling my cell phone

Called twice and left voice message for me and my wife. Identified himself as Officer Jason Smith and said he had criminal case against us and we needed to return his call. If we did not return his call he will be starting criminal proceedings against us. Thanks to this website we know this is a scam.. Doing our own due diligence to put our information here so that other potential victims such as ourselves can be saved...Thanks for running this invaluable service..

Calls and states has an arrest warrant regarding a legal issue....would not say what the legal issue is...luckily did a phone # lookup and found that they r scamming people...these people should be thrown in jail

Got the call from this number today. They said they have received the identity complain against me. He is from state investigation department. They couldn't speak properly so I though this is scam. I told that my lawyer will call you.

Called me and stated they are from state crime investigation agency with 3 criminal charges agaist me. THis is the thirds such call I received in past one month. He was definelty an Indian since he started cursing me in Indian language when I refused to settle any charges and asked him to go ahead and take legal action against me and arrest me.

This number is causing serious heart aches. They need be be investigated instead

My in-laws received a call from 215.809.1477 They told my Mother-in-Law that I had done tax fraud and they are coming to arrest me. She got scared and gave them my number. In the meantime she also called me and was extremely worried. When I called this number they began asking me my name and when I asked about the agency's name or organization. They immediately hung up. I have tried calling this number several times after that and now the number seems to be busy. It is definitely a scam which should be publicized and notified to authorities and FBI. Also, although the number seems to be of a land line in Philadelphia belonging to US LEC Corp of Philadelphia, Inc. It seems that is an internet front company and actual callers are sitting in some Asian country clearly apparent from their strong asian accents, safely running this scam. As a information security professional, my advice i:s 1) Do not provide these folks with any personal information, rather, ask as many questions about their outfit, 2) Do some research online using the caller-ID to find out more about the callers, and 3) Report such incidences to authorities for the benefit and protection of all.
