This was one of the oddest calls I've ever gotten. The male voice began by asking if I was mad at him. I then asked who he was. I did not recognize the name he gave me so I told him I did not remember making his acquaintance. Then he asked if I were a man or woman. It seemed quite obvious from my voice so I did not mind telling him I was a man. Then he asked if there were any women in my house. I replied that I did no want to give him that information. Then he said he was rich and if I knew any women close by. I answered that I did not know any women running around loose in my area. He reapeated that he was rich -really rich. I told that he would probably make some woman very happy. He replied he didn't want SOME woman; he wanted a specific woman, though he did not specify his criteria for this specific woman. Again he asked if I knew a woman. Since I was not in the business of buying or selling women, I simply said "No" Just then a female relative gestured for me to hand the phone to her, which I did. His conversation with her was quite different and brief. He asked her if she wanted to lower her car insurance bill substantially. She told him she was quite satisfied with her current car insurance provider and had no interest in changing anything. He did not offer to share any of his immense wealth with her nor inquire about her availability nor did he even attempt to negotiate prices of any services she might be willing to provide. At length he said goodbye. Just as well because she does not offer her immense talents for hire.
