Said they were the Law office Of Howard Fletcher and is this my name and social security, date of birth, I asked who they were again and once again was told Law office of Howard Fletcher---person calling was Keyvin very hard to understand sounded Indian, asked for their address 101 Bayview Ave. Monrovia, CA 91196 fax number 626-605-5723, office number 626-239-3142. They could see that I paid my other loans off and on time; however this one was a year old in the amount of $589.00 and I needed to pay it. Told them I did not have any money and asked that they send me a letter certified mail said they could not do that and that I would see just how hard the punishment would be if I did not pay them. I explained that I had been scammed before in the amount of $1500 regarding someone saying I had an old pay day loan with court fees included, at this point Keyvin told me they were not a scam company and I could speak to an officer of the court. Told them that I would have to give the information to my family attorney gave them the name of Clinesmith, and that upon his advise and investigation I would handle everything through his office. Once again I was told that if I did not pay then I would have an officer show up. The person---Keyvin also went on to tell me that I did not have to pay right then but would need to take care of this matter---the only problem is they kept telling me they could not send me the paperwork showing that this was owed and not a scamm. They need to be sued and those of us having been harrassed and sent to the hospital because of their call (my blood pressure went up and would not come down due to undue and unnecessary stress), I want to file charges against them and will seek out the FBI and phone company also for allowing them to call my cell phone.

An Indian Scam. There is a fraud alert on the NC Attorney Gen website. This company claims you took a payday loan and they actually call your job. The way they get your information is if you looked up any payday loans. Its out of the country but they are using a California number.

This person named Kevin Jones called my work and stated that there was a "serious allegations on my social security number" Then 10 minutes later he called my work cell phone and stated the same. Then a second caller named Steve called my cell and stated that he was from This law firm and I had taken out a pay day loan in October I asked the company name and he gave me a list of names of providers I had never dealt with. I gave the the name and fax number to my lawyer

Says they are from Howard Fletcher Law Offices and that I owe $216.00 to a bogus company that does not exist. Howard Fletcher is not a member of the bar association in CA. There is no such address on the letterhead in Monrovia, CA. The bar association of CA says they are involved in all sorts of scams. The caller is Jim Robinson and other names. All they want is your credit card number.

I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I called a random attorneys office in the area that number came back to Now so that anyone who reads this understands ALL ATTORNEYS in the area have a list of attorneys in the area that any caller says they are from OR you do a white pages reverce look up on the number will tell you the area so contact a random office or two they have a list of attorneys in A REAL ATTORNEYS OFFICE. One more thing I called the supposed company I owed money to had NO SUCH RECORD OF ME HAVING AN ACCOUNT!

I have been getting calls from this number for a payday loan that does not exist. I want it to stop, so am having this company investigated. JR
