Claiming to be someone else in hope of getting money

caller was saying that there was an order on my Amazon account for $ 1000 with a New York delivery address and then wanted my banking information to verify who my idenity.

See these people thought I was scared or something. I told them to send the police and then I asked them what address did you send the information to. He said some bogus address I informed him that there is no such street in this state.

This is not a telemarketer - It's a SCAM!!! Someone should shut them down, they call and threaten you with the police saying they are from a legal service. They don't give up, they keep calling,and calling. In this day and age, this should not be happening. There must be a way to stop them. Thank you

They contacted me saying they were from a law office and that I had to WIRE money to them or else the police were going to arrest me for a bogus debt I supposedly had. They threaten you with arrest if you don't wire them money. A REAL attorneys office would have a regular land line, a real address and not have you WIRE money to someone. Don't fall for it!!!!
