calling a registered "do not call" number

I received a phone call from this number asking me to verify my name. I just kept asking who this was and got the reply from Ashton Miller that she worked for a company called NRA or National Recovery Association. Thge next day, i saw a charge on my debit card to a Home Depot for $415 and now my card is inactive or it declines at the retailers.

Women from this number called me in regards to someone else. She did not say who she represented. The bad part is I gave her the information she was requesting. I do not believe that this is a legal practice. I have a feeling that this is a scam and not a legitimate business or activity. Be Ware

Called looking for someone I've never heard of.

They called my family members looking for me. My family is in a different state.

Seriously a stalking neighbor saying it was about a fax that was sent... The neighbor is an elderly woman who hobbled over walker and all thinking it was important... Funny thing is I don't live at that address anymore a family member does... Isn't this a criminal offense???

This person has my cell phone number, but will not leave a message about what they are calling. I return calls to numbers I don't know, but only if they leave a message as to why they are calling. He is calling my work and fishing for information and daily ask me to call back. I have had similar calls regarding a debt I have taken care of, but my information has been sold and now I'm getting all kinds of people calling trying to collect on debts I have taken care of.
