My # is on the do not call registry , these people need to stop calling me !!!!

I've asked to be removed from their list several times but they call EVERY SINGLE DAY anyway. Although, most of the time they don't say anything anymore - they just sit there & breathe.

He claimed to be from Microsoft Windows tech support- said we had in the last 2 weeks downloaded mal ware from the internet. He had a foreign accent and claimed to be Frank P Lucas from Salt Lake City. They know this because when we bought our computer it was registered with Windows.

My dad received a call very similar. Caller ID said "Unknown". The caller with a heavy Indian accent, very hard to understand, told him that he worked for the Microsoft repair/tech division, MicroTech. He said that due to some Microsoft upgrades his system was infected, not a virus, but that it was damaging his computer and getting information. He wanted us to press the Windows key and something else. He was also going to transfer us to another department. When my dad called me over, and I spoke with this person briefly, I knew it had to be a scam. When I asked for the phone #, he hesitated, and I could hear someone else giving him the digits listed here 801-512-0605. I told my dad to use logic and be on guard. Microsoft is not going to launch a worldwide campaign one customer at a time. The School of Common Sense folks.

Wanted to gain access to my computer. He talked with an accent and broken English, and said his name was Brian Thompson! He further identified himself as a technician working for Windows Technical Department!

They just keep calling.

They call at least once per day and on weekends. I've repeatedly asked to be put on their do not call list. They tell me they will do that yet they continue to call.

Calls from the number 801-512-0605 are high pressure sales call from a company called PCefix. They initially misrepresent themselves as calling to help you with a Windows operating system error. When you pressure them for more details as to where they are calling from and who they are, they will eventually give you this number to call back on. This number is listed as a Salt Lake City phone number, but those calling are from overseas and you can hardly understand them. If you get a call from this number hang up or just play along and use up their time, but don't allow them access to your system and don't bother to try to buy any services from them. If you continue to research the number, you will find that it is a T-Mobile cell number that actually routes back to India to the Tamilnadu provence down at the southern tip of India. DON'T FALL FOR IT!
